Thank you for your interest in writing a paper for ASIC/SOC2000

Please note that the paper submission deadline was on April 17, 2000 ! All papers have been gone through a thorough review and selection process and the authors will be notified of the results.

All corresponding authors of accepted papers will soon receive more detailed information about the submission requirements for their camera-ready version.

General Instructions:

You are invited to submit papers addressing new and previously unpublished developments in the categories listed in the call for papers. The paper must clearly state the advances proposed; therefore, sufficient results (measured or simulated) and diagrams must be presented to demonstrate the quality and originality of the contributed work. Submissions should clearly indicate the category (S1...C4), include a 50-word abstract and a full paper (limited to five double column IEEE format pages, including figures and references)

File Format:

We accept only Adobe Acrobat (PDF) or PostScript files for electronic submission (PDF preferred).

Some text editors (e.g. FrameMaker 5.5) are able to generate PDF files directly. If your editor does not provide this feature, there are various tools existing for converting PostScript files into pdf. A commercial one is Adobe Acrobat Distiller, but there are also shareware or freeware programs available.
If you have installed the latest release of
GSview and Ghostscript under Windows9x/NT, PDF files can easily be generated through the following procedure: load your PostScript file into GSview, open the printer setup menu (File->Print), select 'pdfwrite' as device name, check the 'print to file' checkbox and select the highest possible resolution (300 dpi min.)
Other conversion tools, including Macintosh- and Workstation-based ones, can be found at
http://www.pdfzone.com/products/software/toolinfo_convert.html

Instructions for generating a PostScript file:
1.) open your paper in your text editor
2.) open the printer setup menu
3.) select a PostScript printer!!! (yes, we already did receive PCL printer files named “paper.ps”)
4.) select the "print to file" option
5.) print the document to a file with the extension .ps

Paper Templates

The following templates and sample documents are provided as an example for the double column paper format required for submissions to the ASIC/SOC Conference. They are provided 'as is', so please understand that we are unable to give any technical support for the usage of the templates.
